For Those Who Love Facial Oils As Much As We Do…

Everyone knows how much we love our oils at Essentique, so you may be excited to hear we have a new facial oil serum in the works called Reine. Currently our only oil serum available is R3 which is all about rose and healing scars, hyperpigmentation, elasticity, and fine lines. To provide customers with an alternative oil serum with different focuses, Reine is the perfect product to add to our line. 

Reine is all about hydration, nourishment, and can be especially useful for those suffering from skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema. Although it’s simply a great serum for anyone attempting to maintain their skin and keep it healthy and glowing. When I first tried Reine, it felt like silk gliding over my skin, it has a lovely, light but herbal sweet aroma, and it left my complexion glowing and nourished the next morning. 

This oil is so full of quality ingredients that we decided to allocate several blog posts to explain the magical Reine so our customers can fully appreciate and learn about every component. Below is a chart with all of Reine’s ingredients categorized by benefit. For each category, be on the lookout for a separate blog specifically dedicated to those benefits. Of course good ingredients are simply good ingredients so there are inclusions that simply do it all, making it difficult to divide them precisely by effect. However, we’ve done our best to give you an idea of exactly how amazing this oil truly is. If you love facial oils as much as we do, Reine is the holy grail of oils!

To get an idea of how this serum works here is a rundown of the effects of the ingredients in Reine. Blueberry Seed Oil is rich in essential fatty acids, phytonutrients, and it is one of nature’s most potent antioxidants. Cranberry Seed Oil protects the skin’s barrier, has been shown to help protect against UV rays, and is rich in essential fatty acids while also helping them absorb better. Echium Oil is rich Omegas 3 and 6, and has been known to help with skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Squalene is an amazing neutral addition because it is a non-greasy oil that is odorless, colorless, non-staining, and leaves skin moisturized, radiant, and enhances skin elasticity with just a few drops. Amaranth Seed CO2 Oil is the most abundant plant source of Squalene which helps fight sagging in mature skin with extra strength and hydration. Kalahari Melon Seed Oil is an ingredient experts consider the latest beauty phenomenon. Thanks to its superb hydrating properties, it is hailed as the perfect cure for dry, flaky skin and it’s a natural cleanser which can help unclog pores and remove excess sebum. Chia seed CO2 Oil is unique in that it has the highest concentration of omega-3 linolenic acid which helps retain moisture and combat fine lines and wrinkling. Sandalwood Nut CO2 Oil is an anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial while Raspberry CO2 oil is high in omega fatty acids and is a superb antioxidant. Our Raspberry oil is produced for consumption but that means it’s all the more safe to use on the skin especially since it is great for preventing various skin conditions, has been used in skin creams, bath oils, and toothpastes. It also may act as a natural sun-screen since studies show it has an SPF of between 28 and 50. Wheat Bran CO2 Oil is high in linoleic acid, has emollient and humectant properties, and can help in cell regeneration. Borage CO2 Oil is a highly rich source of gamma linolenic acid and can help reduce water loss while Pomegranate Seed Oil fights free radicals and helps improve elasticity in sunburned and ultraviolet damaged skin. Evening Primrose CO2 Oil can aid with psoriasis, eczema, and general scarring working alongside Cherry Blossom Extract which contributes added antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. An ingredient we’re very excited about is Plant based Elastin. Elastin is a protein in the skin that provides support and structure. Elastin production can begin to decrease as early as our 20’s which contributes to sagging and less volume. This vegan Elastin is at a lower molecular weight to allow for easy compatibility and absorption by the skin and help rebuild volume and muscle tone in the face. We’ve also included a similar ingredient, Vegetable Collagen, which is also included in Lumin8. Ginseng Extract is used to enhance microcirculation and Horsetail extract contains nutrients that are believed to stimulate the production of collagen, so they both can help with improving fine lines. The gluten-free blend of Hydrolyzed Proteins are capable of providing additional moisturizing and film forming benefits for the skin. Phytocide Elderberry is high in antioxidants to protect from free radical damage, the bioflavonoids the berry has work to tighten skin, and undecylenic acid provides antimicrobial uses. We’ve also included a Natural Plant Based Silicon made from olive oil esters and unsaponifiables to create an alternative to synthetic silicone while still delivering the same emollient and nourishing properties. The added essential oils create a soothing, light floral aroma while Cistus is known for being antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory, while also helping treat wounds and skin conditions. 

Take a deep breath, because we know that was a long list of ingredients and properties. We like to include in depth explanations of our products to ensure our customers are well informed and not only know exactly what’s in their skin care, but more importantly understand how it all works. Especially when it comes to more complex products like Reine, it’s easy to pick out a couple star ingredients and just talk about those. However, each and every ingredient included in Reine is so amazing that we couldn’t just leave it at a few.
