My new obsession: Marshmallow Root Extract

No, this is not that Marshmallow you are familiar with; a confectionary made of mainly sugar!

Marshmallow root extract is derived from a perennial herb called Althaea officinalis. It is composed of polysaccharides and mucilaginous molecules that contributes to its healing properties. When applied to hair it has a film-forming property that makes it exceptionally useful as both conditioning and styling agent. The mucilage content helps with detangling of the hair. And yes, it imparts a lovely luster and bounce to your hair. I am formulating a new hair conditioner that contains marshmallow root extract along with bamboo water, lovely natural vegetable based amino acids, baobab protein and nourishing oils of ojon, cupuacu, murumuru and pracaxi. This conditioner is absolutely lovely and great for all hair types making your hair look healthier than before! And it smells heavenly. Stay tuned.
