What is a hydrogel?

Hydrogel is a clear, weightless, fast-absorbing serum. It is meant to hydrate your skin and bring back skin youthfulness and liveliness. The reason it is called hydrogel is that the main ingredients in it have a molecular capacity of holding 1000 times their size. It delivers extreme hydration to the skin and improves elasticity of the skin. It also has a film forming effect protecting your skin against the external environment as well as serving as a hydrating barrier to reduce skin TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss). Hydrogels are great for summer and winter when the skin tends to get dry.
